Summerville waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 14-9 W against the James Island Trojans. The 14-point effort marked the Green Wave's lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Jayven Williams was his usual excellent self, rushing for 111 yards and one score.

Summerville didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited James Island to a completion percentage of just 37.5%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Jakayden Pendergrass, William Flores, and Malachi Washington, who each logged one passes deflected. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Summerville; they were averaging 60.6%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three contests they've fallen to only 60.6%.

Summerville's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for James Island, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 6-1.
