Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Casa Grande couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 15-7 to the Willow Canyon Wildcats on Saturday. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Adyson McClintic made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Cierah Mendez, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Casa Grande's loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Willow Canyon, they pushed their record up to 19-9-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Casa Grande does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Willow Canyon, they will venture away from home to face off against Desert Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their 24th straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
