While losing is never fun, Valencia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico soccer rankings (they are ranked 49th, while St. Pius X are ranked seventh).

Valencia's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-7. As for Highland, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
