Basketball Recap: North Clayton Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Clayton can now relate to. They lost 71-45 to the Cherokee Bluff Bears on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while the Bears are ranked 59th).

North Clayton's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Cherokee Bluff, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

North Clayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cherokee Bluff, they will challenge Dougherty on Friday.
