Baseball Recap: Murray Wins Going Away Against Ogden

Murray's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Ogden Tigers as they made off with a 25-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Spartans considering their two-run performance the game before.

Brody Sofonia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.

Murray always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ogden only posted an OBP of .200.

The victory got Murray back to even at 1-1. As for Ogden, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Murray has already played their next contest, a 12-0 loss against Crimson Cliffs on the 6th. As for Ogden, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-0 defeat against Grantsville on the 6th.
