Basketball Recap: Pymatuning Valley Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pymatuning Valley can now relate to. They had to suffer through an 80-39 loss at the hands of the Norwayne Bobcats. The Lakers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-18.

Norwayne got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Parker Metsker out in front who went 6-for-9 en route to 15 points in addition to six assists and five steals. Metsker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Braden West, who posted 19 points.

With the defeat, Pymatuning Valley broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-10. As for Norwayne, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Pymatuning Valley nor Norwayne have any future games scheduled.
