Basketball Recap: Anderson County Gets the Win

Anderson County lost to Gibbs back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Anderson County Mavericks secured a 71-65 W over the Gibbs Eagles.

When it comes to explaining why Gibbs lost, don't look at Zack Turner. Despite the final result, he posted 27 points. Turner is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Lee Wolosik, who earned nine points.

Anderson County's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Gibbs, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anderson County will face off against Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gibbs, they will head out to square off against Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gibbs has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 190 points over their last three matches.
