Baseball Recap: Craig County Comes Up Short

Craig County managed to slip by Highland the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rockets came up short against the Rams on Thursday, falling 10-2. The defeat leaves the Rockets still looking for their first win of the season.

Craig County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaycob Wolfe, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Isaiah Wente also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Craig County's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Highland, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Craig County will head out to square off against Bath County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Highland, they will venture away from home to challenge Tygarts Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
