Ridgeline extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping them up to 13-7. They had just enough and edged out the Tooele Buffaloes 5-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-9 back in March.
Oaklee Richards made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Richards wasn't the only one making solid contact as eight players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Jorgensen, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Ridgeline was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
As for Tooele, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since April 15, 2025.
On Tooele's side, Kenni Molgard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits.
On the hitting side, Olivia Nelson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Ridgeline will head out to face off against Stansbury at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tooele, they will venture away from home to square off against Sky View at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Buffaloes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
