Baseball Recap: Woods Cross Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Woods Cross had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Box Elder Bees. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-8 on Friday.

Creighton Farr tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, Tyson Devore was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Kaleb Johnson was another key player, earning three runs and three stolen bases.

Woods Cross' victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Box Elder, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.

As of now, neither Woods Cross nor Box Elder have any future games scheduled.
