Owatonna skates past Albert Lea with ease

The Owatonna Huskies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 78-29 victory over Albert Lea. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Owatonna has posted since November 30, 2023.

Owatonna's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jersey Coleman, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sophie Schlauderaff, who scored 12 points along with four steals.

The win makes it two in a row for Owatonna and bumps their season record up to 6-8. As for Albert Lea, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Owatonna will challenge Northfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northfield is on a six-game streak of home losses, Owatonna a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Albert Lea, they will head out on the road to challenge Kasson-Mantorville at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
