Coginchaug Regional and Cromwell are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Blue Devils will welcome the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Monday just wasn't the day for Coginchaug Regional's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Morgan on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cromwell). They walked away with a 5-1 win over Hale Ray on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Noises: they've now won six in a row.

Tyler Sandquist looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Evan Ucol was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Tyler Bonelli, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Coginchaug Regional's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3. As for Cromwell, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-5-1.

Coginchaug Regional skirted past Cromwell 6-5 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
