Softball Recap: Renville County West Takes a Loss

Renville County West managed to slip by Yellow Medicine East the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Jaguars came up short against the Sting on Thursday, falling 14-3. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sting apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Renville County West saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenna Hinderks, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Peyton Elfering also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Renville County West's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Yellow Medicine East, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4.

While Renville County West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
