Baseball Recap: Fairfax Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Fairfax's offense. They came up short against the McClintock Chargers on Thursday, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 last Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Fairfax and nudges their season record down to 5-8. As for McClintock, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Looking ahead, Fairfax will look to defend their home field on Friday against Ironwood at 3:45 p.m. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.55 runs per game on average), something the Stampede will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for McClintock, they will face off against Central at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.8 runs per game on average), something the Chargers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
