Recap: Jacksboro Tigers vs. Bells Panthers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Jacksboro Tigers walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 45-6 victory over Bells on the road. Jacksboro's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
It was another big night for Luke Sams, who rushed for 132 yards and four touchdowns, and also picked up 79 receiving yards. Sams hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. Lando Belcher was another key player, having thrown for 283 yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Jacksboro's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Hunter Moffit and his two sacks.
Bells' lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bryson Thompson, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown.
Jacksboro's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Bells, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
Jacksboro is on the road again on Friday and play against Holliday. Holliday is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Bells does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
