Spearville is a perfect 10-0 against Ashland since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Spearville Lancers will face off against the Ashland Blue Jays at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Spearville has five straight victories, Ashland has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, Spearville was able to grind out a solid win over Ingalls, taking the game 41-28. That's two games straight that the Lancers have won by exactly 13 points.

Meanwhile, Ashland played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Bucklin, falling 58-30. The Blue Jays were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-7.

Spearville will need to focus on slowing down Biannca Ceniceros, one of several Ashland players who made an impact when they last played. She posted seven points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Molly Harris, who had five points and seven boards.

Spearville pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. As for Ashland, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
