Basketball Recap: Plainville Takes a Loss

Plainville lost against Norton back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Plainville Cardinals took a blow against the Norton Bluejays, falling 50-11. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-1.

Norton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hallie Brooks out in front who went 5 for 11 en route to 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Brooks is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Emma Collins was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds.

Plainville's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Norton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-11 record this season.

Plainville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-39 victory against Logan/Palco on the 11th. As for Norton, they have also already played their next match, a 46-16 win against Hill City on the 10th.
