It was a good run, but Cabrillo unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Carpinteria Warriors by a score of 1-0. The Conquistadores were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Matias Salguero paced Cabrillo's offense, picking up seven kills. Salguero got some help from Cody Lawton and his 12 assists.

Cabrillo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Carpinteria, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Looking ahead, Cabrillo will welcome Nipomo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carpinteria, they will take on Pacifica at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
