Softball Game Preview: Peoria Notre Dame Irish vs. Bloomington Central Catholic Saints

The Peoria Notre Dame Irish will face off against the Bloomington Central Catholic Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Peoria Notre Dame didn't have quite enough to beat Deer Creek-Mackinaw and fell 3-2.

Ella Tady made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bloomington Central Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over Rantoul on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Bloomington Central Catholic pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Peoria Notre Dame, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
