Arrupe Jesuit's and KIPP Denver Collegiate's game on Tuesday was close at halftime, but Arrupe Jesuit turned on the heat in the second half with 45 points. The Arrupe Jesuit Generals blew past the KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers 75-53. The Generals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Arrupe Jesuit got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Manuel Loya out in front who went 8 of 13 en route to 20 points and three steals. Loya is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Yahir Pizarro was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists.

Arrupe Jesuit was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 20 assists in five consecutive contests.

Arrupe Jesuit's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.3 points. As for KIPP Denver Collegiate, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arrupe Jesuit will head out to face off against Bennett at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for KIPP Denver Collegiate, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against DMLK at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
