Football Recap: Chadwick Piles Up the Points Against Santa Clarita Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chadwick). They really took it to the Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-14 win. That's two games straight that the Dolphins have won by exactly 40 points.

Chadwick got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bryson Edgar out in front who rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 130 yards and three TDs. That's the most passing touchdowns Edgar has posted since back in September of 2024. Benjamin Wandrick was Edgar's top target, picking up 23 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 82 yards and one TD on only ten carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Chadwick was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 205 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 180 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Chadwick didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Malik Sims and Keefe Mooney. Another thorn in Santa Clarita Christian's side was Luc Slocum, who picked up 0.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made 12 total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Chadwick's record is now 3-1. As for Santa Clarita Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Chadwick will face off against Polytechnic on Saturday. As for Santa Clarita Christian, they will challenge Desert Christian at 6:00 p.m. on October 4. The game will give the Cardinals their first taste of in-conference action this season.
