Softball Recap: Oswayo Valley Comes Up Short

After soaring to 20 runs the game before, Oswayo Valley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They lost 19-2 to the Cowanesque Valley Indians. If the Green Wave were looking for revenge after losing 14-2 to the Indians when the teams met back in April of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Oswayo Valley and nudges their season record down to 1-4. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Cowanesque Valley, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oswayo Valley will venture away from home to face off against Bucktail at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cowanesque Valley, they will take on Williamson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
