Central will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Hueytown, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Falcons strolled past the Golden Gophers with points to spare two weeks ago, taking the game 37-21. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Armani White out in front who rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 152 yards and one TD on only 14 passes. That's the most rushing yards White has posted since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Anthony Dixon, who gained 157 total yards and three touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Central's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Hueytown's QB won't forget Jackson Carlisle anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Another thorn in the Golden Gophers' side was Jasiuah Rainer, who picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception which he returned for a touchdown.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Central, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Dixon, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Russell's game on Friday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Percy Julian 45-13. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Benjamin Russell's win came from a few key players Central will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cederian Morgan, who picked up 137 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Jyque Norris was another key player, rushing for 93 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.
