Volleyball Recap: Twin Valley South Panthers vs. Valley View Spartans

Twin Valley South kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Valley View Spartans by a score of 2-1. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Claire Wharton paced Twin Valley South's offense, picking up five kills. Wharton got some help from Danika Caldwell and her 15 assists. Caldwell also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lainey Mercer, racking up four apiece.

Twin Valley South didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Preble Shawnee on the 16th. As for Valley View, they will venture away from home to face off against Edgewood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
