Basketball Recap: Cotulla Comes Up Short

Cotulla lost against Hondo on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cotulla Cowboys fell 69-57 to the Hondo Owls. The Cowboys just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Cotulla's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Hondo, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-17 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cotulla will welcome Dilley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Cotulla is facing Dilley at the right time seeing as Dilley is stuck on a 19-game losing streak. As for Hondo, they will be playing at home against Crystal City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Crystal City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.
