Softball Recap: Flour Bluff Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Flour Bluff can now relate to. They fell just short of the Harlingen South Hawks by a score of 7-5 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Hornets have suffered since March 1, 2024.

Flour Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 23-9. As for Harlingen South, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Flour Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harlingen South, they will face off against Smithson Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rangers will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
