Baseball Recap: Wickliffe Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hawken on Saturday, Wickliffe came back down to earth. The Blue Devils fell 7-3 to the Brush Arcs on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Arcs: they've now lost four in a row.

Logan Ruscin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Wickliffe's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Brush, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wickliffe will challenge West Geauga at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brush, they will take on Riverside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Arcs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Beavers have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
