The Maplewood Rockets's six-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They took down St. John 64-45. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Maplewood has managed all season.
Alex Donaldson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Barnett, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Maplewood's victory bumped their record up to 3-14. As for St. John, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Maplewood will head out on the road to face off against Chalker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. John, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Harding at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. One thing working in Harding's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
