St. Xavier waltzed into their contest on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the Archbishop Moeller Fighting Crusaders as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Friday.

Joe Taggart paced St. Xavier's offense, picking up 21 kills. Taggart got some help from Cam Evans and his 43 assists. Finally, Matthew Schulte kept St. Xavier's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

St. Xavier's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Archbishop Moeller, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, St. Xavier will face off against Elder at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Archbishop Moeller, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on La Salle at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
