Baseball Recap: Cedar Creek Takes a Loss

Cedar Creek lost against Bastrop last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cedar Creek Eagles lost 12-2 to the Bastrop Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Bears since April 15, 2021.

This is the second loss in a row for Cedar Creek and nudges their season record down to 7-9. As for Bastrop, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-9.

Cedar Creek and Bastrop could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Cedar Creek will square off against Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th down 625 places (955 vs. 330). Similarly, Bastrop (ranked 830th) will meet Hays (ranked 240th) at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
