Recap: Frostproof Bulldogs vs. All Saints' Academy Saints
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up nine more assists than your opponent, a fact the Frostproof Bulldogs proved on Thursday. They blew past All Saints' Academy, posting a 68-41 win at home. That's two games straight that Frostproof has won by exactly 27 points.
Frostproof's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sevastian Rosado, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 10 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Rosado has scored at least 25% of Frostproof's points. Another player making a difference was Turral Berry, who scored 20 points along with 7 steals.
All Saints' Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Ali Ebrahim and Claudarius Bell. Ebrahim scored 17 points, while Bell scored 17 points. The contest was Bell's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Jaelen Randall was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 3 steals.
The win got Frostproof back to even at 2-2. As for All Saints' Academy, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frostproof will face off against Lake Placid at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. All Saints' Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ridgeview Global Studies Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
