After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wootton, Churchill was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Bulldogs not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 12th (when they won 3-0).
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Churchill was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13, 25-6.
Lucy Deraleau paced Churchill's offense, picking up 11 kills. Deraleau got some help from Charlotte Deraleau and her 20 assists. Charlotte was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
Churchill's win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Coming up, Churchill is taking a road trip to challenge Clarksburg at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Seneca Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
