Recap: Evergreen Cougars vs. Summit Tigers
The Evergreen Cougars were the 41-24 winner over the Summit Tigers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Evergreen was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 49-48 to Summit. Evergreen just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.

Yager scored a full 43.8% of Evergreen's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Lukas McCanna was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Evergreen's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Summit, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evergreen will take on Denver North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Denver North is ranked 92nd, while Evergreen is ranked 109th). Summit will be home for the holidays to greet Battle Mountain at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Battle Mountain is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
