Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Homestead). Everything went their way against Pioneer on Thursday as Homestead made off with a 13-5 win. The victory was some much needed relief for Homestead as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jayden Duong and Clay Bussey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Duong struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits (and not a single walk). Homestead (ranked 448th) will meet Bellarmine College Prep (ranked 110th) at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Pioneer will face off against Los Altos at 4:00 p.m. on Friday down 265 places (308 vs. 43).
