Basketball Recap: Irving Takes a Loss

Irving was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 56-38 to the Brewer Bears.

Brewer's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Calvin Rweyemamu, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 14 points. The dominant performance gave Rweyemamu a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braelon Orr, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points and four steals.

Irving's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Brewer, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.

Irving didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Adamson on the 28th. As for Brewer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 48-42 victory against Kaufman on the 28th.
