Baseball Recap: Edward Little Comes Up Short

Edward Little had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 5-9 to make it five. They fell 13-9 to the Messalonskee Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-9 back in April.

As for Messalonskee, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-6 record. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

For Messalonskee's part, Jordan Lewis was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits Lewis has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Ty Bernier, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Edward Little is set to square off against their familiar foe Mt. Ararat at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Messalonskee will face off against rival Mt. Blue at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
