Recap: Garrett Railroaders vs. DeKalb Barons
The Garrett Railroaders lost against the DeKalb Barons back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Garrett took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of DeKalb.
Garrett's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kelsey Bergman, who scored 9 points along with 13 rebounds, and Delaeni Hixson who scored 4 points along with 9 rebounds. Bergman is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Brooklyn Jacobs was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Garrett's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for DeKalb, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garrett's road trip will continue as they head out to face Angola at 7:30 p.m. on November 21st. Angola is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. DeKalb won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Central Noble at 7:30 p.m. on November 18th. Hopefully Central Noble focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
