Softball Recap: Livingston Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

It's playoff time, and Livingston had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Venture Academy Mustangs 11-3 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won 11 matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Elizabeth Avila was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Isabella Zazueta, who went 3-for-4 with three runs.

Livingston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Venture Academy only posted a batting average of .222.

Livingston is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Venture Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.

Coming up, Livingston will face off against Ripon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. Venture Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
