Football Game Preview: Sheboygan South Redwings vs. Sheboygan North Golden Raiders

A classic North v. South matchup is on the schedule. The Sheboygan South Redwings will take on the Sheboygan North Golden Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sheboygan South has given up an average of 36 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Friday, Sheboygan South took a blow against Oshkosh North, falling 42-12. The defeat continues a trend for the Redwings in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Sheboygan North strolled past Green Bay West with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 20-6. Given the Golden Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Wildcats are ranked 338th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Sheboygan North and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 19 points in those games. As for Sheboygan South, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Sheboygan South was dealt a bruising 48-6 defeat at the hands of Sheboygan North in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Thankfully for the Redwings, Vince Nienhuis (who rushed for 110 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
