Softball Recap: Southwood Has No Trouble Against Woodlawn-Shreveport

Southwood had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 18-run drubbing they dealt Woodlawn-Shreveport on Tuesday. The Cowboys blew past the Knights 24-6. The game marked the Cowboys' most dominant win of the season.

Ayanna Lister-Mosley was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and four RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Kaleigh Frazier was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Southwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .829. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Southwood's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-14. As for Woodlawn-Shreveport, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

As of now, neither Southwood nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
