Basketball Game Preview: Camden County Wildcats vs. Colquitt County Packers

Camden County is 8-2 against Colquitt County since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Camden County Wildcats will be playing at home against the Colquitt County Packers at 6:30 p.m. Camden County is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Camden County ended up a good deal behind Booker T. Washington and lost 67-52. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 244th in Georgia, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 55th in Alabama).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Caleb Reed, who posted 13 points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. David Coleman was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 11 points.

Colquitt County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 65-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Monroe last Saturday.

Colquitt County's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Camden County, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Camden County took their victory against Colquitt County in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 67-46. Does Camden County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Colquitt County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
