Volleyball Recap: Marysville Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Marysville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Oakmont Vikings, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Marysville ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 25-20.

Oakmont had a senior duo take command as Elisabel Lumley Garcia had seven digs and three aces and Malorie Denney had ten assists and six digs.

Marysville's record now sits at 4-22. As for Oakmont, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Marysville is set to square off against their familiar foe Bear River at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Oakmont will challenge rival Colfax at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
