Volleyball Recap: Pickens Extends Winning Streak to Four

Pickens came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the White County Warriors. This was a revenge game for the Dragons: when they faced off against the Warriors back in August, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (60-58) Pickens actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 17-25, 15-11.

Sheila Flores was nothing short of spectacular: she had 20 digs and six assists. Those six assists gave her a new career-high.

Pickens now has a winning record of 20-19. As for White County, they dropped their record down to 11-20 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Pickens and Lumpkin County will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for White County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Seckinger on the 2nd.
