Baseball Recap: Lake Howell Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Lake Howell hadn't done well against Seminole recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Lake Howell Silverhawks walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Seminole Seminoles. The Silverhawks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Brody Crosby looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lake Howell is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-5 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Lake Howell got a big performance out of Nathaniel Grimm, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Grimm a new career-high. David Johnson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Lake Howell's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6. As for Seminole, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Lake Howell didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-7 victory against Bishop Moore on the 6th. As for Seminole, they will take on Lake Howell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
