Soccer Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

Greenville's game on Monday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 3-1 to the Hickory Hornets. While losing is never fun, Greenville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 444th, while Hickory are ranked 149th).

Greenville has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Hickory, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenville will head out to face off against Sharon at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Hickory, they will venture away from home to challenge West Middlesex at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
