Football Recap: North Penn-Mansfield Takes a Loss

North Penn-Mansfield managed to slip by Athens the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers had to suffer through a 54-13 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Although North Penn-Mansfield took the loss, they still got scores from Luke Kreger and Colton Pellett.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Kreger, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, North Penn-Mansfield fell to 4-1. As for Athens, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Penn-Mansfield will venture away from home to square off against Warrior Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Athens, they will head out to challenge Wellsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
