Football Recap: Mead Raiders vs. Centennial Broncos

Mead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 24-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Centennial Broncos.

Although Mead took the loss, they still got scores from Tytus R Lee and Wyatt Engel.

Ryan Richters had an outrageously good game for Centennial as he rushed for 194 yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance gave Richters a new career-high in rushing yards.

Mead's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Centennial, the victory snapped their losing streak at 12 games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-3 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mead will venture away from home to square off against McCool Junction at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mead focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday. As for Centennial, they are taking a road trip to take on Heartland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Centennial is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
