Softball Recap: The Pilgrim Academy Triumphs

The Pilgrim Academy won the last time they faced Varsity Opponent and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pioneers walked away with a 16-12 win over Varsity Opponent. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pioneers.

The Pilgrim Academy got a massive performance out of Jayden Wolcott, who went 1-for-4 with five stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Those four runs gave Wolcott a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Solai Cottman, who went 1-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

The Pilgrim Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-10.

Looking ahead, The Pilgrim Academy will square off against Calvary Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pioneers will need to watch out since the Warrior have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Varsity Opponent, they will take on Cumberland Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Varsity Opponent are facing the Crusaders at the right time seeing as the Crusaders are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
