Basketball Recap: Sisseton Comes Up Short

Sisseton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The match between them and the Lower Brule Sioux didn't end well, with the Sisseton Redmen falling 52-36.

Sisseton's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lower Brule, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sisseton will head out to challenge Flandreau Indian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sisseton is facing Flandreau Indian at the right time seeing as Flandreau Indian is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Lower Brule, they will head out on the road to square off against Cheyenne-Eagle Butte at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Lower Brule likes a good challenge.
