Soccer Game Preview: Greater Miami Academy vs. Westwood Christian

The Greater Miami Academy Warriors will take on the Westwood Christian Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Greater Miami Academy is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Archimedean just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Thursday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The result kept the Warriors happy, as they haven't lost a game since November 6, 2024.

Meanwhile, Westwood Christian managed to keep up with Florida Christian until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Westwood Christian lost 4-0 to Florida Christian. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Warriors came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Patriots are ranked 438th).

Greater Miami Academy's draw gives them a new season record of 7-1-2. As for Westwood Christian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1-1.
